Hey. It’s been a difficult holiday period here. Routine disruptions over Easter haven’t been easy on Lily or me, and we’re trying to get back into it now. Even when the changes aren’t bad, it’s just as hard to process sometimes. We have had some lovely family days, and I’ve stayed on track with my eating/exercise, but I’ve been low on energy and the ability to deal with people. I can be horrible when I get overwhelmed; I hate that.
Lily is now in a junior bed, potty trained and has a nice little table and chair to have her meals and read/draw on, and I am so proud of how well she has transitioned to it all. She isn’t too happy to be back at pre-school and away from me, but I hope she settles back in a couple of weeks. It feels like we have entered the “next level” of her childhood, now. It’s daunting, but she always amazes me. She now shares my love for P!nk, asks to watch her videos and sings her songs. I am in awe, but Daddy isn’t so impressed with that new found interest.
I found this dairy free, gluten free, no added sugar ice cream from Perfect World on offer in Tesco, so I thought I’d give it a try. It is delicious, and I’d highly recommend it, Caramel Pecan especially, it’s ideal for the occasional treat.
