Today was lovely. I woke up at 7.37 am and commenced the usual morning routine with myself, L, the dogs and birds. Took her to pre-school with my husband and suggested going for breakfast as he had a later start. I had a breakfast burrito which consisted of mushrooms, tomatoes, scrambled egg, cheese, baked beans, hash brown and spiced rice. We also shared pancakes. Huge breakfast and not particularly healthy but thoroughly enjoyed.
Shortly after arriving home I asked Mr BtS if I could walk him to work with the dog. He wasn’t feeling well, he’s still recovering from surgery and added illnesses, but he reluctantly agreed. I enjoyed the walk, even if Ray was a bit hyper as “daddy” was with us, and subsequently quite confused to see him go when we had to leave him behind, he kept looking back for him. For the rest of the walk, Ray stayed by my side for 98% of the time and was well behaved, even when passing a barking dog in a garden.
Not long after that my mother and sister came to visit. I am very close to them, and we always enjoy each others company. We went to collect L from pre-school together, which was quite a challenge for my sister who has also just had surgery, but seeing L’s excitement made it worth it for her, I think; it was like a natural medicine. We had lots of laughs as usual and played for hours until they left. I love making these memories with my family.
